Technorati Claim Post

Mark Mzyk | January 4, 2008

This post is exactly what the title says it is – because I just couldn’t degrade my privacy by actually giving Technorati my blog login credentials, but I felt I should perhaps put my this blog on Technorati.

Call me old fashioned (for 24 years old), but I haven’t bought into the notion yet that privacy is dead (seemingly unlike most the rest of the blogosphere). Privacy is only dead when I stop valuing it and stop fighting for it. And today isn’t that day.

The link Technorati wants to prove to them that I do in fact own this blog:

It’s somewhat sad that trust no longer works in this world.

Wow. Only after I wrote and posted this did I realize I’m being hypocritical – I’m lamenting the lack of trust from Technorati while I’m not trusting them. Although I still don’t believe privacy is dead – that part of the post still holds.
