Get Encouraged – Open Sourced
Mark Mzyk | May 21, 2009
I’m glad to announce that Get Encouraged is now freely available on github.
The code is available here: http://github.com/mmzyk/getencouraged/tree/master
Thanks to More Better Labs for allowing me to open source the code, since it was originally written for them.
Get Encouraged is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license. Please download and play away. Don’t hesitate to contact me about any bugs you find or improvements you would like to suggest. Patches and submissions are welcome, although I do reserve the right to review them, of course.
Where is Get Encouraged headed? It’s not 100% settled, but I would like to explore adding a Redis back-end to store tweets. Once that is done, a range of new features open up that aren’t feasible now, since there is no persistence storage. Certainly offer your opinions in the comments on where you think Get Encouraged should head. The more ideas the more possibilities there are to explore.
